About The Authority
The Eastern Virginia Regional Industrial Facility Authority or EVRIFA, was formed in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Regional Industrial Facilities Act for the purpose of providing a regional authority mechanism to enhance the economic base of the member localities on a cooperative basis. Spearheaded by the Peninsula communities, the Authority was formally recognized by the Secretary of the Commonwealth on December 18, 2019. As of December 2022, the Hampton Roads Alliance serves as the managing entity for the Authority.
